How buying and selling on dnb-step works.

Who sells what

dnb-step is operated by DNBSTEP OÜ, registry code 17039029, Estonia. Two kinds of things are sold on the platform:

• Private lessons are sold by the trainers themselves. Each trainer is an independent business or self-employed individual — not our employee — and the lesson contract is between you and the trainer. Before you pay, we show you the trainer’s seller identity, the full price, and the cancellation terms, and ask you to confirm them.
• Cohort courses are sold either by the trainer running the course (an independent seller, like private lessons) or by DNBSTEP OÜ itself. The pre-payment confirmation always names the seller of the course you are buying.

Trainers must confirm to us that they sell in the course of business and are responsible for their own taxes and legal compliance. Under EU tax rules (DAC7) we collect and verify seller identity and tax details and report yearly sales to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.

What the platform does

We provide the marketplace: dancer and trainer profiles, booking tools, messaging, and payment processing through our payment provider Stripe. For lessons, the platform keeps a commission out of the trainer’s share of the price — the commission never increases the price you pay, and the exact rate is shown to trainers in the trainer hub before they publish paid offers.

How trainers and offers are presented

The dancers directory orders profiles by most recent activity (when the profile was last updated) by default; you can switch to alphabetical or by follower count, and filter by city, country, style, role, and experience level. A trainer’s lesson offers are shown on their own profile, newest first. There is no paid placement: nobody can pay us to rank higher, and our commission does not depend on which trainer you pick, so it does not influence ordering either.

Prices, cancellation and withdrawal

The price shown before you pay is the full price. Cancellation and withdrawal terms are shown before every purchase and depend on what you are buying — see the Terms of Service for the details: lessons booked for a specific time follow a full-refund cancellation policy, and courses carry the statutory 14-day withdrawal right.

Complaints and disputes

Something wrong with a purchase, a trainer, or the platform itself? Email hello@dnb-step.com and we will look into it — this is also the channel for trainers with complaints about how the platform treats their offers. If we cannot resolve a consumer dispute directly, you can turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee) or your local European Consumer Centre.
